Late July, early August in 2002 Andy of The TMC and a mate Sean undertook a walk in the Cairngorms, wild camping carrying everything needed for four days.

A more gentle gorge walk with the chance of a little mine exploration along the way. Right at the start of this gorge walk is the entrance to a small show mine, never worked for ore this mine was built to entice rich visitors to the area to invest in the mining industry.

Gorge Walk, Afon Ddu

What better way to cool off during those hot summer days than a walk up a gorge.
The Afon Ddu provides the venue for a challenging day out, scramble up water falls, jump into plunge pools and wriggle your way through 'The Elephants A**e'.

Beacon Climbing Centre
Twenty minutes from the 'TMC' a superp wet weather alternative venue is provided by 'The Beacon'. Traversing walls, bouldering area, top roped and lead climb walls upto 12m.
